1917 ADEKA CORP. was established to manufacture chlorine and caustic soda with the help of salt electrolysis.
1919 ADEKA CORP. started manufacturing hydrogenated oil by utilizing the hydrogen by-products from the soda factory.
1938 KANTO DENKA KOGYO CO., LTD. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in fine and basic chemicals was established.
1959 TOKAI ELECTRO CHEMICAL CO., LTD. was founded to manufacture and sell hydrogen peroxide products.
1962 Established ADEKA ARGUS INDUSTRY CO., LTD., which engaged in the manufacturing and selling plasticizers and stabilizers for plastics.
1970 The construction work of the Kashima Factory in Hasaki, Ibaraki Prefecture, was completed to expand the fine chemicals business.
1973 ADEKA CLEAN AID CORP. was founded to sell industrial detergent.
1979 ADEKA CORP. participated in developing CHIBA FATTY ACIDS CO., LTD., which manufactures fatty acids and glycerine.
1985 ADEKA CORP. participated in developing MIZUSHIMA PLASTICIZER CO., LTD., which manufactures special plasticizers.
1990 ADEKA CORP. acquired capital from NIHON EPOXY RESIN CO., LTD. to manufacture epoxy resins.
1996 ASAHI GENERAL CONSTRUCTION CO., LTD. was founded to perform construction work, such as civil engineering and construction, installation of machines and appliances, electric work, and pipework.
1999 ADEKA CORP. merged with its subsidiary Tokai DenkaKogyo Co. Ltd. to expand and strengthen its management foundation.
2005 The construction work of ADEKA FOODS (CHANGSHU) CO., LTD., a China-based subsidiary that manufactures and sells food items, has been completed.
  ADEKA CORP. acquired most of the shares of UEHARA FOODS INDUSTRY CO., LTD., a food manufacturer and distributor reorganized as a subsidiary.
2006 ASAHI DENKA CO., LTD. was renamed ADEKA CORP. and moved its headquarters from Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku. to a new building in Higashi-ogu, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo.
2010 ADEKA KOREA CORP. established and expanded its research and development center in Korea.
2012 ADEKA FOODS (ASIA) SDN. BHD. was established as a joint venture company by ADEKA CORP., Japan, and IOI Corp., Malaysia.
2015 ADEKA FOODS (ASIA), a Malaysian subsidiary of ADEKA CORP., obtained Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, an international method for managing food hygiene.
2017 ADEKA (CHINA) CO. LTD. established ADEKA FINE CHEMICAL (Zhejiang) Co. LTD. to manufacture and sell chemical products such as polymer additives in China.
2019 Mohammed Al Otaiba Group acquired the majority of ADEKA AL GHURAIR ADDITIVES LLC shares and changed its name to ADEKA AL OTAIBA MIDDLE EAST LLC.
2023 ADEKA CORP. acquired 78.3% of the stake in Incubation Alliance, Inc. from Kazuo Muramatsu.
