In the area of flow cytometry reagents, the company provides reagents and kits directly to clinical laboratories working in routine cancer diagnostics, with a particular focus on hematologic cancers.

In 2018, Agilent cquired ACEA Biosciences, a developer of cell analysis tools, for $250 million. With this acquisition, Agilent added NovoCyte and NovoCyte Quanteon flow cytometers, as well as xCELLigence real-time cell analysis (RTCA) technology, to its portfolio.
