1963 Cambridge Filter and Gösta Larson established Camfil AB to protect people from harmful air.
1969 The company started its production of Airosolve and Absolute filters in Germany.
1981 Camfil started the production of energy-efficient bag filters by opening another production facility in Unterägeri, Switzerland. Trosa, Reinfeld, and Unterägeri were the three production plants supplying the market with bag and Absolute filters.
1995 Camfil formed Camfil Component AB and completely diverted its efforts toward constructing a fully automated production line to manufacture filters for Philips.
2012 Camfil opened a new technology center in Trosa. This technical center covers an area of 2,500 square meters and acts as an innovation hub for product and process solutions.
2014 Camfil acquired Handte Group, an oil and mist collection expert, to expand its industrial dust, mist, and fume collection segment. 
2018 Camfil acquired MC Air Filtration in the UK to increase its production capabilities and product portfolio and improve support and services. 
2021 Camfil Power Systems introduced a new CamClose panel air filter for turbomachinery designed to extend the service life of the final filter.
2024 Camfil inaugurated its manufacturing plant expansion in Batu Gajah near Ipoh, Malaysia. This new plant features diversified production lines, such as molecular filters, turbomachinery, and HEPA/ULPA filters.
