The Spectrum Therapeutics medical division is a global leader in medical cannabis. In April 2019, the division acquired Cannabinoid Compound Company, which is currently integrating in to its operations. Cannabinoid Compound Company is Europe’s largest cannabinoid-based pharmaceutical company and a leading manufacturer of dronabinol, a registered active pharmaceutical ingredient in four European countries. 

In June 2019 the company executed an agreement with Acreage, a leading United States multi-state cannabis operator to acquire all the issues and outstanding securities of Acreage upon occurrence of changes in the US federal law to permit the general cultivation, distribution, and possession of marijuana. 

In December 2019, Canopy Growth launched a line of hemp-derived CBD oils and softgels under the First & Free brand in certain U.S. states where not prohibited under state law. 

More recently (September 2020), Canopy Growth introduced its Martha Stewart CBD line of products. The new portfolio includes natural, gourmet flavored wellness gummies, softgels and oil drops derived from Martha Stewart’s renounced specially formulated flavors. The combination of Canopy Growth and Martha Stewart is described by the companies as resulting in pure, safe and great-tasting CBD products that are easy to incorporate into your daily wellness routine.
