1924 The company was established.
1934 Osaka Kinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd. was established.
1937 Sakai Plant was established in Sakai, Osaka.
1941 Yodogawa Plant was founded in Mishima (now Settsu), Osaka.
1950s  
1951 The company developed a packaged air conditioner in Japan.
1958 The company marketed the first window air conditioner equipped with the first rotary compressor in Japan.
1960s  
1962 The company started the production of turbo refrigerators.
  The General Technical Research Center is established.
1969 Clark Daikin, a joint venture AC sales company was formed in Australia.
1970s  
1970 Shiga Plant was established in Kusatsu and started with the production of full-scale residential room air conditioners.
1972 Daikin Europe N.V. was established in Ostend, Belgium.
1978 Rinkai Factory, a compressor manufacturing unit was established in Sakai.
1980s  
1980 A.C.E. Daikin (Singapore) Pte., Ltd. has established its presence as an A.C. system manufacturing and sales company.
1982 Siam Daikin Sales Co., Ltd., an AC manufacturing and sales company, was established in Bangkok, Thailand.
1987 Daikin Airconditioning (Thailand) Ltd., an AC manufacturing and sales company, was established in Chonburi, Thailand.
1990s  
1990 Daikin Industries (Thailand) Ltd. was established in Thailand and started production of Acs in 1991.
1991 Daikin America, Inc. and MDA Manufacturing, Inc. were established in the U.S.
1997 R-32 mass production plant was manufactured in Yodogawa plant.
1999 The company achieved 5 million production of packaged air conditioners.
2000s  
2000 Daikin-Shriram Airconditioning, Ltd. was established in New Delhi, India.
  Daikin Institute of Advanced Chemical Technology was established in the U.S.
2001 Daikin and Trane, a U.S. company, established a global strategic tie-up for AC business.
2003 The company achieved top market share in residential ACS throughout the fiscal year of 2003.
2005 Daikin Air Conditioning R&D Laboratory Ltd. and Daikin Environmental Laboratory, Ltd. collaborated to form Daikin Air-Conditioning and Environmental Laboratory, Ltd.
2010s  
2010 Daikin started a cross-border academic-industry cooperation project to construct a Net Zero Energy Office in Europe.
2013 The company expanded the usage of refrigerant R-32 to India.
2015 The company acquire Solvay S.A.'s refrigerant business in Europe.
2017 Daikin acquires Airmaster Corporation Pty Ltd., a leading provider of AC equipment solutions and services in Australia.
2020s  
2020 Daikin enters into an agreement with Doshisha University.
2021 Daikin launches “Urusara X,” a residential AC with enhanced ventilation and dehumidification functionality.
2022 Daikin introduced ZEAS Connect, a flat-rate service for store and office ACs.
2023 Daikin established a new production base for ACs in Tsukubamirai City, Ibaraki, Japan.
  Daikin holds a grand opening ceremony for a new air conditioner manufacturing facility in Sri City, India.
