1920 Tennessee Eastman Corporation is incorporated.
1930-1939  Eastman TENITE plastic is used for steering wheels, radio knobs, and poker chips.
1940-1949 Hydroquinone manufactured by the company becomes a critical ingredient for rubber in jeep and aircraft tires in war.
1950-1959 Eastman operations expand to Longview, Texas, to produce ethylene and propylene for ethyl alcohol and aldehydes at the Kingsport site.
1960-1969 The company expands operations to Columbia, South Carolina, and England.
1970-1979 A manufacturing site in Batesville, Arkansas, opens to produce photographic and organic chemicals.
1990-1999 Eastman spins off from Kodak, and later on, U.S. President Bill Clinton presented Eastman the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
2000-2009 Opening of a regional headquarters in The Netherlands and many acquisitions, including Hercules.
2010-2019 Two of the most significant acquisitions in the company's history (Solutia in 2012 and Taminco in 2014).
2024 Eastman collaborates with Debrand to recycle apparel waste from top brands.
