Company Overview

EMS Grivory is a business unit of EMS-Chemie, also based in Switzerland. It produces a wide variety of nylons, such as 6, 6/66, 66, and 12, and polyphthalamides (PPAs). Specifically, the company’s product line consists of:

• Grilamid nylon 12.
• Grilamid TR transparent nylons.
• Grilon nylons 6 and 66.
• Grivory HT PPA.

Several of these nylon grades are used to mold connectors and related electronic components. The company’s North American headquarters is located in Sumter, S.C.

EMS Griltech specializes in the development and manufacture of fibers, adhesive yarn and fusible adhesives for technical and textile applications, powder coatings, reactive diluents, and bonding agents for high-performance tires.
