1956 The first NC and SERVO systems in the Japanese private sector were developed.
1959 Developed the first continuous path NC in Japan and the first electro-hydraulic pulse motor.
1960 The first open loop NC, FANUC 220, was developed.
1965 The NC for linear cutting was developed and made a historic boom in Japan.
1966 The company has developed the first all-IC type NC.
1968 Completed the first commercial DNC in the world.
1969 The fully modularized NC was developed.
1972 FUJITSU FANUC LTD was founded and became independent from FUJITSU LIMITED. Introduced CNC and developed NC drill.
1974 ROBOTs were developed and installed in FANUC factories. The production and sale of DC SERVO MOTORs were started under the GETTYS MANUFACTURING CO. INC license.
1976 GENERAL NUMERIC CORPORATION was jointly established in the U.S. by FANUC and Siemens A.G.
1977 The Automation System Laboratory was opened. FANUC USA CORPORATION was established. The commercial production and shipment of ROBOTs started (ROBOT-MODEL 1).
1978 FANUC EUROPE S.A. was established, and FANUC and Hwacheon Machinery Works Co. Ltd jointly established KOREA NUMERIC CORPORATION. 
1980 Established FANUC-MACHINEX JOINT OFFICE in Bulgaria, FANUC U.K. LIMITED in U.K. and FANUC GERMANY GmbH in Germany.
1982 GMFanuc Robotics Corporation was jointly established in the U.S.A. by FANUC and General Motors. FANUC MECHATRONICS S.A. was established in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The Technical Training Center was opened. 
1983 600 FANUC ROBOTICS LIMITED was jointly established in the U.K. by FANUC and 600GROUP PLC. 
1984 The fully electric plastic injection molding machine, "FANUC AUTOSHOT," was developed.
1986 FANUC TAIWAN LIMITED was established. The Central Technical Center, the Robot Assembly Factory and the Production Technology Laboratory were constructed in the Headquarters area. The Memorandum of Agreement was signed with General Electric to establish a joint venture company for factory automation.
1987 The FANUC Medical Center and the FANUC Collection of Historical Art Materials were established. CO2 LASER was developed.
1988 The Product Development Laboratory was constructed in the Headquarters area and transffered from Hino, Tokyo. 
1989 The FANUC Culture Center was established. The Foundation for Promotion of Advanced Automation Technology was established.
1992 FANUC INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED was established as a joint venture with local companies in India. 
1994 TATUNG-FANUC ROBOTICS COMPANY was jointly established in Taiwan by FANUC, TATUNG COMPANY and GE Fanuc Automation Corporation.
1995 Fanuc GE Automation Singapore Pte. Ltd. was jointly established in Singapore by FANUC and GE Fanuc Automation Corporation.
1997 SHANGHAI-FANUC Robotics CO. LTD. was jointly formed in China by FANUC and Shanghai Mechanical & Electric Industrial Investment Corp.
2000 Fanuc India Limited was restructured into FANUC's fully owned company.
2001 The new Roboshot Factory and the Cooking Center were completed.
2003 FANUC VIETNAM LIMITED was established. The local corporation was established in Russia. ("FANUC AUTOMATION" LLC)
2004 Established FANUC EUROPE SERVICE GmbH and FANUC ROBOMACHINE EUROPE SALES GmbH and FANUC CZECH s.r.o.
2005 GE Fanuc Automation Europe S.A. was restructured and demerged into GE Fanuc Automation CNC Europe S.A. and GE Fanuc Automation Solutions Europe S.A.
2007 FANUC POLAND SERVICE LTD, FANUC NORDIC SERVICE AB and FANUC SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE LTD were established. 
2009 The joint venture with General Electric Company was resolved, and joint venture's FA operations in the Americas were transferred to FANUC America.
2012 European subsidiaries were reorganized with the establishment of FANUC Europe Corporation.
2013 Subsidiaries in North and South America were reorganized with the establishment of FANUC America Corporation.
2015 Developed Collaborative ROBOT CR-35iA and FIBER LASER.
2016 The Mibu Factories were constructed.
2018 FANUC ACADEMY was constructed.
2024 Launched FANUC ROBOSHOT α-S15iB and New lightweight Teach Pendant ROBOSHOT New products.
