1936 Carl Schultz founded LECO Corp., the laboratory equipment company, and introduced the first rapid carbon determinator for the steel industry.
1970 The company developed solid-state infrared cells, resistance, induction furnaces, and advanced instrumentation using digital electronics.
1976 LECO introduced the NP-28, its first protein determinator, to the organic and food markets.
2000 LECO introduced its advanced carbon/sulfur and nitrogen/carbon analysis instruments. The TC-600 and CS-600 series are the first instruments with built-in Windows-based software.
2011 The company launched the Cornerstone platform to deliver faster, more intuitive operation, including touch-screen capabilities of new LECO analytical products.
2012 LECO opened the Elizabeth S. Warren Technical Centre for Separation Science, a 28,000-square-foot facility dedicated to the research and development of advanced instrumentation and equipment for the separation science product line.
2014 The company introduced Cornerstone Mobile, an optional mobile remote viewing feature that enables users to view data, plots, and instrument status from smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
