1900s-1920s  
1906 Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. was established by Russian immigrants Evser Leviton and his son Isidor Leviton when they started manufacturing brass mantle tips for natural gas lights.
1920s By the end of the 1920s, the company had delivered more than 550 different electrical devices and had outgrown its facilities in Manhattan's Bowery.
1930s-1940s  
1937 Leviton Manufacturing Co. Inc. acquired American Insulated Wire Co. while adding wire, cable, and cord products to its business offerings.
1950s-1960s  
1950 Leviton brought the Deal Electric Co., and three years later, it was renamed Leviton Canada.
1970s-1980s The company's Decora designer devices had become highly popular for rocker-style switches and outlets, creating a new industry benchmark for design and performance.
1990s-2000s Leviton introduced Leviton Connected Home, a residential networking product to meet household needs of efficient connectivity and better communications technology.
