Company Overview

McAfee Corp. has been one of the leading companies in protecting consumers, enterprises and governments from cyberattacks for more than 30 years with integrated security, privacy and trust solutions. The company was purchased by Intel in 2010 and began operating as a subsidiary of Intel. In January 2014, Intel changed its name from McAfee Security to Intel Security. In April 2017, it was reinstated as a stand-alone company.

In 2021, the company’s enterprise business was acquired by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group for $4 billion. Since then, the company wholly become a pure-play consumer cybersecurity company.
