1951 Nihon Kohden Industries Co., Ltd. was established.
1952 The company launched its first electric fundus (intracerebral) blood pressure monitor.
1955 The company launched its first electronic tube recording electrocardiograph.
1960s  
1960 The company launched its first multipurpose monitoring and recording device.
1962 The company has established a factory in Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, and started operations as a production subsidiary.
1970s  
1972 Released hemocytometer MEK-1100.
1976 The company launched its first telemeter-type patient monitoring device.
1980s  
1981 The company has a newly founded Tsurugashima factory in Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture.
1982 The company was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
1985 The company has launched its first comprehensive respiratory monitor.
1987 The company has launched its first electrocardiograph with LCD monitor.
1989 The company has launched its first electroencephalogram with filing function.
1990s  
1990 Established a joint venture with Shanghai Photoelectric Medical Electronic Instruments Co., Ltd. to start manufacturing and selling medical electronic equipment in China.
1992 The company name established as Nihon Kohden.
1995 The company has acquired ISO9001 certification.
1996 The company has founded Nihon Kohden Singapore Ltd., a local subsidiary in Singapore.
2000s  
2002 The company established Medinet Photoelectric Medical Software (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a software development subsidiary in China.
2004 The company has launched ZS-940P, the first transmitter capable of wireless monitoring electrocardiogram, respiration, SpO2, and non-invasive blood pressure.
2006 Established Nihon Kohden Firenze Co., Ltd.
2007 The company launched an intraoperative neurological function monitoring device.  
2010s  
2010 The company has established Nihon Kohden UK, a sales subsidiary in the U.K.
2011 The company has established Nihon Kohden India Co., Ltd., a sales subsidiary in India.
2013 The company launched CHM-4100, a clinical chemistry analyzer for measuring hemoglobin A1c and C-reactive protein.
2014 The company launched the BSM-1700 series, a compact and lightweight bedside monitor system that helps to refer and monitor patient data during transportation within the hospital.
2016 The company founded Nihon Kohden Shikoku Co., Ltd.
2018 The company unveiled its MEK-1303, an all-in-one, fully automatic blood cell counting and immune reaction measurement device.
2019 The East Japan Logistics Center established in Sakado City.
2020s  
2021 The company acquired Amp3D Co., Ltd. and became a subsidiary in the U.S.
2022 The company acquired Software Team Co., Ltd. and became a subsidiary in Italy.
