1947 NIPRO was founded as a light bulb recycling business.
1950 Biwako Denkyu Seisakujo LLC was established in Otsu, Japan.
1954 Nihon Glass Shoji Co. Ltd. was established in Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto, Japan.
1960 Started production of glass bottles and small light bulbs.
1963 Automatic machines for processing inner flasks of vacuum flasks were developed.
1965 The company began selling infusion kits for pharmaceutical companies.
1969 Tomisawa Manufacturing Co. Ltd. was acquired and production of medical devices started.
1972 Acquired Nihon Plastic Specialties Co. Ltd. to handle domestic sales of medical devices.
1972 Corporate name changed to NIPRO Co. Ltd. 
1974 Nipro Medical Industries Co. Ltd. began manufacturing disposable syringes and coil dialyzers.
1977 The company changed its corporate name to Nissho Corp.
1983 The company started manufacturing medical rubber stoppers.
1986 The company began supplying arteriovenous fistula (AVF) needles.
1988 Acquired Hishiyama Pharmaceutical Corp.
1991 Nissho Nipro Europe N.V. was established in Belgium.
1994 Nipro (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. was established in China.
1996 Nipro Medical Corp. was established in the U.S.
2001 The company changed its corporate name to NIPRO CORP.
2005 Acquired Tohoku Chugai Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. 
2008 The company developed partnerships with ReproCELL Inc. and Cell Science & Technology Institute Inc.
2012 The company acquired JMI Pharma Ltd. 
2016 Opened the Research and Development Center for Regenerative Medicine.
2019 Nipro (China) Holdings Co. Ltd. was established.
2021 Acquired Piramida d.o.o.
