1930 Production of insulin at Nordisk Insulinlaboratorium.
1946 NPH (Neutral Protamine Hagedorn) insulin was developed. 
1951 Harald and Thorvald Pedersen founded the Novo Foundation.
1969 Novo opened a production plant in Kalundborg, Denmark.
1985 NovoPen was launched as the first insulin pen device.
1989 Novo and Nordisk foundations merged and recognized as Novo Nordisk AS.
2014 Partnership with UNICEF working together to prevent childhood overweight and obesity by creating healthier environments for children.
2023 Novo Nordisk and Life Edit Therapeutics established collaboration to discover and develop gene-editing therapies.
2024 Novo Nordisk collaborates with Omega Therapeutics and Cellarity on novel treatment approaches for cardiometabolic diseases.
