2000 Novo Nordisk splits into three companies namely Novo Nordisk A/S, Novozymes A/S and Novo A/S. 
2001 The company acquired Sybron. Won a contract with the U.S. government to develop enzymes for biomass conversion into low-carbon fuel.
2006 The company acquired GroPep and Delta to focus on biopharma business.
2008 The company installed worlds biggest enzyme fermentation facility in China.
2010 The company acquired a Brazilian BioAg company Turfal  and launched Cellic product range.
2014 The company launched new product range Medley, with a focus on Americas and Europe.
2016 Separated Biopharma business as a separate company, Albumedix.
2017 The company collaborated with Boeheringer Ingelheim in probiotics and poultry. The company launched products including Spirizyme T Portfolio, Palmora and BioPrep Fusion.
2020  the company acquired PrecisionBiotics and helped in advancing Novozymes human health business futher.
2021 The company acquired Synergia, Microbiome Labs, and the data science platform Biota. They also launched multiple products in the year, namely Formea, Prime, Pristine, and Innova Quantum.
