Company Overview

U.K.-based Porvair is a filtration and environmental technology business with expertise in the aerospace, molten metals, energy, water treatment and life sciences markets. Porvair's filtration group, Porvair Filtration, manufactures high-performance filters for demanding environments. The division also makes a range of membrane cartridges designed to provide filtration from 0.04 to 1.2 microns. Porvair Filtration has manufacturing facilities in the U.K. and the U.S.

The Biofil and Biofil Plus PES line of membrane cartridges is designed for applications ranging from beverage processing to the filtration of blood and serum. Fluorofil and Fluorofil Plus PTFE membrane (Gore-Tex) cartridges are designed for liquid filtration to 0.2 microns and sterile vent and gas filtration to 0.01 microns. Chemifil cartridges, suitable for a wide range of process chemical, sterile vent and gas filtration applications, are manufactured from PP and include a hydrophobic PP membrane. Vinofil cartridges include a double-layer PES membrane for cold biological stabilization of wine and beer. Porvair's Aquafil single-layer PES membrane cartridges and Hydrofil nylon membrane cartridges are aimed at the food and beverage industry.

Porvair also manufactures custom filtration and separation systems.
