YearDetail
2015 RF Micro Devices Inc. and TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. merged to form Qorvo Inc, one of the leading providers of RF solutions.
Qorvo introduced RF Flex, integrated front-end solutions to improve performance and simplify the design of 4G LTE smartphones.
2016 Qorvo acquired GreenPeak Technologies, an ultra-low-power, short-range RF communication technology provider, to expand its customer offering to include highly integrated RF solutions and systems-on-a-chip (SoCs) for the connected home and rapidly growing Internet of Things (IoT).
2019 Qorvo acquired Cavendish Kinetics, Inc., one of the leading providers of high-performance RF Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology for antenna tuning applications. Under this acquisition, Cavendish Kinetics will continue to upgrade RF MEMS technology for applications across Qorvo's product lines and transition the technology into high-volume manufacturing for mobile devices and other markets.
2020 Qorvo acquired Custom MMIC, a leading supplier of high-performance GaAs and GaN monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications. Under this acquisition, Custom MMIC will continue to expand its millimeter wave (mmWave) capabilities for products used in electronic warfare, defense phased array and AESA radars, wireless backhaul, satellite communications, and microwave test equipment.
2021 Qorvo acquires NextInput, a MEMS-based sensor solution provider, to expand its technology portfolio and accelerate the deployment of force-sensing solutions utilizing MEMS-based sensors.
2023 Qorvo introduced a three-stage power solution for phased array commercial and defense radar systems, which will provide configurable GaN bias point autocalibration, allowing engineers to maximize system performance for various GaN power amplifiers (PAs) without changing the board design.
Qorvo introduced the Ku-Band satellite communications amplifier in a compact 7.5 x 6 mm SMT package. With its wide instantaneous bandwidth and high power-added efficiency, the company's newest satellite communications amplifier is an ideal solution for high-throughput ground and mobile terminals and the growing market of phased array satellite terminals.
