2001 Rackspace Technology and Dell Technologies have developed a strategic alliance to offer tangible business outcomes for their customers, including cloud and infrastructure services and technologies.
2007 Rackspace acquired webmail.us, a private e-mail hosting firm, to host Web-based e-mails and improve communication and messaging.
2008 Rackspace expanded its cloud computing offerings by acquiring two new Web-based service firms: Jungle Disk, an online backup service, and SliceHost, a virtual machine provider.
2010 The company partnered with NASA to develop OpenStack, an open-source cloud software project managed by the non-profit OpenStack Foundation and utilized by multiple businesses and research organizations.
2016 Apollo bought Rackspace for $4.3 billion and turned it back into a private company, allowing more flexibility to manage the business for long-term growth and enhance its product offerings.
2017 Rackspace acquired TriCore and Datapipe to expand the global application and manage service support.
2019 Rackspace acquired Onica, one of the leading providers of cloud-native consulting and managed services, to help it move up the stack and guide customers more fully in their digital transformation.
2020 Rackspace is renamed Rackspace Technology, focusing on delivering multi-cloud Infrastructure, apps, data, and solutions.
  Rackspace acquired Bright Skies, a German-based company, to expand professional services in the European Union.
2022 Rackspace acquired Just Analytics, a leading cloud-based data, analytics, and AI services provider.
  Rackspace was restructured into two business units, one for the public cloud and another for the private cloud, to enhance its private cloud strategy and drive growth through innovative multi-cloud solutions.
  The company launched Foundry for AI by Rackspace (FAIR) to allow its customers to accelerate AI's secure and responsible adoption.
