History

YearDetail
1935 TDK-Micronas GmbH was established to commercialize ferrite, a key material in electronic and magnetic products.
2000 Micronas Semiconductor Holding AG acquired a 15 % stake in Analog Circuit Technologies (now innoCOMM Wireless). This participating interest was sold in February 2001, when National Semiconductors took over innoCOMM Wireless.
The company introduced combined environmental and occupational safety management at Freiburg operations and certified it to DIN EN ISO 14001.
Micronas Semiconductor Holding AG acquired the Image and Video division of Infineon Technologies worth $270.4million.
2003 Micronas acquired the Microtune (Holland) B.V. Design Center, which specializes in digital integrated circuits (I.C.s) and solutions. This transaction allows Micronas to expand its comprehensive T.V. system solutions portfolio while permitting Microtune to concentrate on its core radio frequency (R.F.) technologies.
2005 Micronas acquired WISchip International, one of the leading providers of video compression and streaming technology, to enable its customers to rapidly bring advanced audio/video solutions to the market for the complete spectrum of advanced HDTV products.
2011 X-FAB Silicon Foundries Group partnered with Micronas to deliver an advanced generation of technologies, the 0.18 µm high-voltage CMOS process with embedded flash, and manufacture the related products.
2016 TDK Corp. renamed its group Micronas to TDK-Micronas, one of the leading suppliers of Hall-effect sensors in the automotive industry.
2017 TDK-Micronas acquired ICsense NV, a global inertial sensor company, to further boost its sensor and actuator business.
