1967 The company was founded to acquire the General Felt Products division of Standard Packaging Corporation, which produces laminated closure (cap) liners.
1970 The company built and expanded its Somerville, New Jersey plant, diversifying into producing foam trays for the poultry processing industry and establishing a films division to service the pharmaceutical and medical customer base.
1996 The company acquired Dolco Packaging Corporation to bolster its presence in foam packaging products, including a prominent position in egg carton sales in the U.S.
1997 The company acquired PurePlast to diversify end markets, producing calendared PVC sheets for global pharma customers.
1998 PureTech Corp. was acquired by the company for $325 million to expand its portfolio in Colorite, American Gasket & Rubber, and Action Technology, which produces garden and irrigation hose, precision tubing and gaskets for aerosol, vinyl medical tubing, and vinyl compounds for medical devices.
1999 The company acquired Tri-Seal to produce sophisticated extruded and co-extruded capliners and seals in 1995.
1999 The company acquired Hargro Flexible Packaging in Flemington, New Jersey, which utilizes lamination and coating technology to produce packaging materials for the pharmaceutical industry.
1999 The company acquired Natvar and started producing disposable vinyl medical tubing and electrical sheathing.
2001 Tekni-Plex acquired Hose assets of Mark IV Industries and started operating as Swan Hose, producing garden hoses.
2002 Tekni-Plex acquired Elm Packaging Company from CHS Capital and LaSalle Capital to produce foam plates, bowls, meat trays, and bakery trays.
2004 The company acquired Genpak's egg carton business and integrated it into its food packaging operations.
2009 The company acquired Top Seals Dichtungseinlagen GmbH, a maker of liners and gaskets for the closure industry near Hannover, Germany, to produce specialty liners and add central punching capability to its portfolio.
2013 The company sold its Swan Hose business to Jacobson Partners, a private equity firm in New York City. 
2014 In West Virginia, tekni-Plex acquired Tech-Seal, a closure liner and inner seal maker. As a result, the company unified its closure liner businesses under the Tri-Seal brand name, which included Tech-Seal. 
2015 The company acquired Ghiya Extrusions Private Ltd., a supplier of EPE foam closure liners in India's domestic and export markets, to expand its existing business in India and grow its closure liner business globally.
2015 The company acquired Gallazi in May 2015, adding PVDC coating and PVC calendering technologies to the TekniPlex portfolio.
2016 The company acquired Sancap Liner Technology, Inc.,  a producer of heat-sealing, pressure-sensitive, and gasket-sealing liners for pharmaceutical and food applications.
2017 Tekni-Plex acquired BrunaSeals, Doral, Florida, an induction seals and foam closure liners producer, to expand the global Tri-Seal closure liner business.
2017 Tekni-Plex acquired the self-adhesive tape substrate business of Alfatherm SpA, Venegono Superiore (VA), Italy, to expand Tekni-Films’s growing tape substrate business.
2018 Dunn Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of specialty extrusion tubing for medical device applications, was acquired by Tekni-Plex to expand its portfolio of medical tubing.
2018 The company acquired Oracle Packaging's healthcare packaging, performance livestock, induction seal, and specialty lamination businesses to combine existing liner expertise with complementary specialty packaging offerings. 
2018 The company acquired Beyers Plastics, Puurs, Belgium, a cleanroom Class 7 extruder and polyethylene (PE) film converter, from investment company FAMO N.V. to expand its portfolio of cleanroom-produced pharmaceutical and medical flexible packaging products.
2019 The company acquired three manufacturing facilities from Amcor's Flexible Packaging business unit to expand its complex packaging solution portfolio for medical device manufacturers.
2019 TekniPlex acquired Italian healthcare packaging company Lameplast SpA from Milan-based private equity firm Aksìa Group to expand their healthcare packaging offerings.
2019 The company acquired Brazilian closure liner manufacturer Geraldiscos, which became a part of Tekni-Plex’s Tri-Seal business.
2019 The company acquired MMC Packaging Equipment Ltd., a manufacturer of automation equipment solutions, to expand its offerings to the caps and closure packaging segment and other markets.
2021 Tekni-Plex acquired Michigan-based M-Industries, LLC, a provider of container-vented lining technology, to increase the global scope of its solution, which includes venting expertise and technical packaging.
2021 The company acquired Grupo Phoenix, a leader in rigid packaging solutions, to broaden its market-focused, customer-driven innovations, especially in the food and beverage markets.
2021 The company acquired Keyes Packaging Group from Arbor Investments to strengthen its tray and flat portfolio for the food and beverage industry.
2021 The company acquired Johnson Plastic Group (JPG), a manufacturer of high-precision extrusions, as part of a strategy to expand its platform of patient care solutions.
2022 Tekni-Plex acquired assets and licensed technologies of Fibro Corporation, a Tacoma, Washington-based company that develops and manufactures innovative molded-fiber packaging, expanding sustainable solutions for fresh food applications.
2022 TekniPlex Consumer Products acquired Empaques Moldeados de America Tecnologias S. de R.L. de C.V. (EMATEC), a Mexico-based manufacturer of molded fiber packaging solutions for eggs, produce, food service, and other fresh food items. This acquisition expanded TekniPlex Consumer Products' portfolio of sustainable materials science solutions for fresh foods.
2022 The company launched a range of dispensing liners. Their convenient peel-tab design simplifies dosing for various liquid, powder, and solid products. 
2023 The company established a new production facility in Cartago, Costa Rica, that comprises 55,000 square feet. The additional room has been utilized for new medical tubing extrusion lines, downstream equipment for assembly and other operations, and warehousing space.
2023 TekniPlex Healthcare acquired Seisa Medical, a medical device manufacturer based in El Paso, Texas, that services every stage of the product life cycle, including design and development, component manufacturing, and final assembly. The acquisition enhances the company’s materials science and process technologies for minimally invasive and interventional therapy devices on a global scale.
2024 The company expanded its capabilities portfolio by commencing multilayer blown film manufacturing in a cleanroom environment.  The new multilayer blown film line exemplifies the company’s strategy to develop higher-order barrier solutions per increased industry demand.
