1947	It started its Ophthalmic and Medical Instruments business.
1963	Launched the world’s first single-lens reflex camera.
1970	Expanded globally by entering the U.S. and Netherlands markets.
1989	The name of the company was changed to TOPCON CORP.
1994	Acquired automatic control technology of construction machinery.
2000	Acquired precision GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) technology.
2006	The company launched the world’s first 3D OCT (optical coherence tomography) that combines features of OCT and a fundus camera.
2008	The company made a takeover bid for Sokkia Co. Ltd.
2010	The company accelerated business expansion into the ophthalmic therapeutic laser market.
2013	Launched fully automatic OCT (3D OCT) optical coherence tomography.
2018	Created an eye disease screening business.
