1874	Vaillant Group was started as a small shop in Germany which was established by Johann Vaillant.
1894	Johann Vaillant received his first patent for the “closed system” gas-fired bath boiler.
1897	He opened a large, modern bath boiler factory on Berghauser Street, Remscheid.
1904	The company has introduced Geyser for the first time in the world.
1907	Charles Saunier and Maurice Duval found Saunier Duval & Cie.
1924	Vaillant launched its new “ZHK” central heating boiler, which can be heated centrally via radiators in all rooms within a house.
1930	Saunier Duval started the production of gas street lamps in France.
1934	The Glow-worm Boiler and Fireplace Co. Ltd. started manufacturing cast-iron domestic cooking stoves and boilers at the Derwent Foundry. Herman van Thiel founded his company in the rural village of Beek en Donk under the name Handelstechnisch Bureau en Apparatenfabriek.
1954	Vaillant Group established Johann Vaillant Technology Center and established a subsidiary in Istanbul by Vehbi Koc.
1957	The company was given as Apparatenfabriek Warmtebouw, in short, AWB. AWB was the first Dutch company to combine a boiler and burner in one appliance.
1961	In the shape of the Circo-Geyser, Vaillant adds Germany’s first-ever wall-hung gas-fired heating system for flats and single-family homes to its range. AWB has developed the first gas boiler, Thermo Convent.
1963	Vaillant has established a new plant in Bad Kreuznach; Vaillant makes electric appliances: molded electric automatic geysers, small storage heaters, water boilers, and large electric appliances.
1967	The company has introduced a new product, the Combi-Geyser, a single appliance that provides hot water and a warm home.
1968	AWB developed the first heating furnace, also known in Dutch as the Moederhaard (“Mother fireplace”).
1971	Glow-worm produces its first cast-iron, wall-hung boiler.
1974	Bulex and Renova merged, and Renova-Bulex was born.
1984	Glow-worm produces “Fuelsaver”, a lightweight copper central-heating boiler.
1992	Vaillant sets up susidiaries in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Turkey. Glow-worm manufactures its first mass-produced condensing boiler, “Energysaver”.
1995	Vaillant starts manufacturing wall-hung circulation water heaters with condensing boiler technology.
2001	Vaillant Group acquired the companies called Bulex, Saunier Duval, AWB, Protherm , Glow-worm, and British Hepworth Group.
2004	The company has introduced the new heat-pump generation Magna Air and acquired majority stake in the Italian heating technology manufacturer Hermann S.r.l..
2007	The Vaillant Group acquires the majority interest in DemirDokum.
2010	Glow-worm launches its Clearly Hybrid system, the first product in the UK to combine a heat pump with a condensing boiler.
2013	Hermann Saunier Duval launched its first product, Genia Air heat pumps.
2020	Vaillant has launched the aroTHERM Plus, which is the first Vaillant heat pump to run on the natural refrigerant R290.
2023	The company has opened its new mega factory for electric heat pumps in the Slovakian town of Seneca.
