Established in 1987 through the merger of Weatherford Oil Tool Co. and Energy Ventures Inc. Weatherford Intl. maintains a chemical manufacturing and engineering department with primary production facilities in Texas and Pennsylvania. The company supplies high-molecular-weight polymers to create plugs, alter reservoir sweep profiles and also increase the flow of crude oil through pipelines after its production.
