1915 Daigorou Yasukawa, with the cooperation of his elder brothers, has established the YASKAWA ELECTRIC CORP. office in Kurosaki, Kitakyushu City.
1935 The company delivered synchronous motors 4,000HP 250rpm for rolling machines to Yahata Steel Plants, an iron manufacturer in Japan.
1958 The company introduced the Minertia motor, which boosted the control ability of replies that speed a hundred times the response speed of a conventional model.
2012 Yaskawa advanced into the field of robotic human assistance and practiced the application of rehabilitation equipment developed in cooperation with medical institutions.
2019 Yaskawa opened its new robot production facility with the European Robotics Development Centre at Kočevje/Slovenia.
2020 Yaskawa launched MOTOMAN-GP300R (Payload capacity: 300 kg, Maximum reach: 3220 mm), a new multi-purpose robot in the MOTOMAN-GP series. 
2021 The company launched AC servo drives Σ-X Series, the successor to the reputed Σ-7 Series, to enhance customers' added value with the industry’s best motion performance and digital data solutions.
2022 The company opened its new Robotics Technology Center in a central industrial park in Istanbul, Turkey. This park displays machines and operates a system that allows customers to conduct sample tests using workpieces.
2023 Yaskawa launched its first adaptive robot, the MOTOMAN NEXT series, an open platform for automation that aims to solve social issues with robots.
2024 Yaskawa partnered with Astellas Pharma Inc. to develop an advanced cell therapy platform by integrating robotics and pharmaceutical technologies.
  Yaskawa launched the “i³-Mechatronics” solution concept, which adds digital data management to automation solutions to realize the new industrial automation revolution outlined in Vision 2025.
