A.G.C. Chemicals Americas is a subsidiary of Japan-based A.G.C. Inc., which comprises several business divisions, including glass, displays and chemicals, plus businesses such as electronics and energy.
The A.G.C. Chemicals business includes fluoropolymer production. The company offers a broad range of polymers, including PTFE, PFA and ETFE resins, fluoroelastomers, fluoropolymer compounds, and chemical membranes. The company also manufactures specialty performance materials that include ETFE films, F.E.V.E. resins, greenhouse films, anti-smudge coatings, silica gels, fluorinated solvents and foam blowing agents, amorphous fluoropolymers, polyol, silica gels, and intermediates.
A.G.C. Fluon PTFE is available in the following forms: Fluon aqueous dispersions, Fluon granular PTFE, Fluon lubricant powders, coagulated dispersions, and filled PTFE compounds.
A.G.C. also produces PFA resins and ETFE resins and films. The range of Fluon ETFE resins includes ETFE adhesive resins, ETFE heat-resistant resins, ETFE compound and powder grades, and Cytop amorphous fluoropolymers.
A.G.C. also offers Aflas fluoroelastomers, which are used worldwide in industrial applications where reliability is required, along with the elastomeric properties of synthetic rubber. Aflas was launched by A.G.C. Chemicals over 30 years ago and is based on an alternating copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and propylene.
