1907	Asahi Glass Company was established in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture. The company further expanded its business to include the manufacture of soda ash and refractory bricks, which are essential for producing flat glass.
1917	AGC Chemicals Company was established by producing soda ash in-house, one of the key raw materials for glass manufacturing.
1970s	The company introduced fused film molding technology with ETFE to develop Fluon ETFE fluoropolymer film.
1990s	The company acquired ICI Fluoropolymers as a wholly owned subsidiary in the U.S. and U.K.
2000s	AGC Chemicals Americas Inc. was established and developed AsahiGuard E-SERIES, environmentally compliant oil and water repellents.
2020s	The company patented FibraLAST, a non-fluorinated barrier technology for paper and textile products.
